

North Western Uganda
Arua, Yumbe and Koboko In these districts, we are implementing a Conflict Resolution and Peace Building project funded by DANIDA. The project also supports the reintegration of ex-combatants into civil life, under a DDR component. Arua is also home to the multimillion TPO Psychosocial Training Institute, where most of our international and local training courses are held.
Arua, Yumbe, Koboko, Maracha-Terego, Adjumani, Moyo and Nebbi In these districts, TPO is the lead Technical Services Organisation under a USAID funded project which aims to strengthen the capacity of these districts to plan and deliver services for HIV/AIDS orphans and other vulnerable children.
Northern Uganda
Gulu, Kitgum and Pader In these districts, TPO is implementing a multi-year mental health project funded by the CORDAID Emergency Aid and Reconstruction Department and WHO in collaboration with the Ugandan Ministry of Health. The project is supporting district health services to integrate mental health care into primary health care in the aftermath of the 20 year LRA rebellion and strengthening capacity of the district health services to respond to the mental health needs of all affected individuals.
Lira TPO is implementing a child protection project that is supporting children and families affected by the Lords Resistance Army (LRA) rebellion. We have set up child protection systems in selected subcounties and initiated school based interventions that aim to create a safer learning school environment for pupils. This project is funded by UNICEF.
Eastern Uganda
Kaberamaido and Soroti TPO is implementing a UNICEF funded child protection and GBV response project in these two districts. The project aims to set up child protection systems in target subcounties as well as to mobilise community leadership structures to tackle the problem of gender based violence. School based interventions have also been initiated. Additionally, TPO is also implementing a livelihoods and food security project in these two districts funded by USAID/ ACDI-VOCA This multiyear program aims to support formerly displaced households to become more food secure, by increasing crop production, nutritional support and adopting farming as a business. TPO is also implementing a CORDAID funded project under Health and Care which aims to strengthen capacity of health centres to treat mental illness as well as to recognise and support the psychosocial needs of clients seeking treatment at these centres and to increase access to health care by the most vulnerable individuals and families.
Katakwi and Amuria TPO is implementing an HIV/AIDS Prevention and Care project funded by the Uganda government multi-donor Civil Society Fund. This project is also collaborating with The AIDS Support Organisation (TASO) and AIDS Information Centre (AIC) to extend voluntary counselling and testing services to hard to reach communities in selected sub-counties. Another project is the multiyear Gender Based Violence (GBV) project funded by Danish Church Aid (DCA) that aims to reduce vulnerability of survivors of gender based violence to HIV/AIDS and establishing community driven mechanisms that respond to and monitor incidents of sexual violence. TPO is also implementing a child protection project funded by UNICEF in Katakwi district, setting up child protection systems in selected subcounties as well as school based interventions.
Karamoja Region
Nakapriprit TPO is implementing a UNICEF Funded project that aims to build and develop local capacity among selected community based organisations to deliver child protection services in Pokot County. TPO is also implementing a Dan Church Aid funded project that aims to reduce vulnerability of survivors of sexual violence to HIV/AIDS, raising awareness on harmful traditional practices particularly female genital mutilation (FGM) and supporting local leaders to come up with initiatives that respond to the problem of FGM and other social injustices.
