Food security & livelihoods improvement

Our experience delivering psychosocial support in contexts of poverty informs us that
meeting the basic food needs of poor and vulnerable households can bring about positive
psychosocial outcomes. Our food security and livelihoods support interventions target
entire households and thus significantly contribute to improving the living conditions and

socioeconomic status of impoverished households. Under this thematic area, we support
food insecure and/or vulnerable households to increase crop production adopt modern
farming and agronomic practices. We also enlighten households on post harvest handling
technologies, financial literacy and inculcating a saving culture. Our education campaigns
enlighten communities on basic household hygiene and adopting healthy nutritional
